Relevant now.

Wrote this a while ago during the Charlottesville events of August 2017.

I am appalled to say it is still relevant now.

A wall

A division scratched into the slates

Partings of the black

Where no light falls

Shadows are pounding

Like the bullies by the swings

Or men in camo reloading

Wagons that cart the dead

are trawling past in corridors

The brown suited men

can shine their light

into one's shadows

And say fight them back

cos they are the from shitholes

The chants from sheep

are red capped and racist

Arms are raised for disrespect

And torches in Charlottlesville

Faces on front pages

And fires on front row

Facists fucking the world

Come join their failed democracy

and build a wall.
